Hello ,

Windows 7 has asked me to make a 100MB partition for File Systems

1 - what will happen if will not allow the OS to create the Partition ? as i know files will be store in C:\ but i`m not sure ,

2 - if i allow the Pattion to be crated , my antivirus can scan the Partition or no , as i know the partition is hidden or non accessibility !

i`m interest to install windows without the partition , please let me know if there is any secuity risk or any another problem

Thank You

My Computer

OS
xp
Format the HD first .. As an Active partition ..
and I don't think it'll ask you ... And it won't install the 100MB partition.

I went this way around .. don't have the 100MB partition .. and I'm working just fine.

After partitioning ...

It is the system partition.... I believe it is required.

I don't know if it shows up in disk management or not, but it did with the RC I believe.

I believe it is required.

Only for Bitlocker. If you don't use Bitlocker to encrypt your Windows partition, that 100MB partition is useless and totally unnecessary.

You can actually delete it after the fact if you know what you are doing. (you must make C: active and move the boot manager there first).

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.

If you don't have ultimate or enterprise it will not be installed.

If you do, you have to select a special option for it. So no, it won't be.
