So I had that partition in Windows 7 that is "reserved" so I followed the instructions in the tutorials on how to remove that 100MB reserve and how to repair the MB loader. Everything went per the tutorial.

Only thing is when I go to Control Panel-->System and Security-->Administrative Tools-->Computer Management and then I look at the Disk Management, the 100MB is listed as unallocated. How can I get that 100MB back with the main part of the drive where the OS resides on?

Thanks

Thanks, but I jacked up my install. Leave it to me. I tried rebuilding the array, but I could not figure it out so I am just installing Windows 7 again.

Anyone know how to rebuild a RAID1 on a P7P55D Deluxe board with ICH10R? I did the control+I to gain access during boot up, but nothing in there says "rebuild"

I know I am beyond this, but just in case of next time.

Thanks though

Out of curiousity, why did you want to remove the 100mb System Reserved boot partition?

Were you even aware that it puts the Repair console normally only available on the DVD or REpair CD on the F8 Advanced boot tools menu?

Next time ask for the steps to do such things here as we've helped hundreds of users with complicated repartitioning and boot recovery operations here without failure.

Go you have Intel's RST (Rapid Storage Technology) software installed?
There is a rebuild option there.

100MB gain and loss of recovery tools without needing a CD is hardly worth any effort spent on it at all :( Even on a 40 Gig SSD that's a paultry amount of space... On a TB drive it's literally a drop in the ocean :)

I have single PSD files that are routinely about 250 megs!

To rocker - I have 2 hard drives in RAID1 and 2 in RAID1, but in Windows Explorer it showed 3, one being the system reserve. I came to this forum and read up and followed the steps to remove the partition per Shawn. The problem occurred when I did not follow one of the steps which then destroyed the array because I was messing around. My fault, so as stated I just reloaded Windows. Thanks though

Copter - Yes, I have RST installed, but I could not get the system to load since I did a bonehead maneuver. Again, I just reloaded everything

Seal - True, but I hated seeing three drives when I really had only two.

Thanks everyone and thanks for the advice too.
