Hi all!
I would like to stream HDTV content from my pc to the media center on my xbox360. technically it's no big deal. however, i cannot reach the respective streaming performance necessary for this type of content.
my setup:
router: d'link 524 (100mbit) (tried wireless & cable)
pc win7 64bit connected to router via powerline 85mbit adapter
xbox360 connected to router either wireless or through cable to router
with this setup windows media center tells me that i don not have enough bandwith for hdtv content - i barely reach sd tv standard.
is there an option that the router settings throttle the performance?
It might be the Powerline adapter causing the issue.
Is it possible to temporarily move the PC to the same location of the router and have everything hooked up with cables straight to the router?
Do you have a firewall?
I know for me norton kept blocking it until I set it too full share in network trust
I have two xboxs going off a pc with a wireless g adapter I don't think speed is your problem
1 Xbox is the new slim with n adapter
And one is wired but I also had the white wireless adapter hooked up and all worked fine via sharing and media center
