Do you have the latest nVidia drivers installed? If so, try changing the resolution through the nVidia Control Panel.

I have the same problem as you. My resolution is suppose to be 1024*768. But after i install windows 7 on my computer the recommended resolution 1280*1024. When i change it back to 1024*768 i get a black bar both on the top and bottom. Which is wierd because i have the exact same comp on the right with window xp its full screen. Please let me know if you find a fix. Thanks

This is a desktop setup right? Your monitor should have controls on it to manipulate the image so it will cover the entire screen

This is the same problem about my problem
Thanks a lot
Same here................
I do not want to use 1280x1024.
I always use(in Windows XP)1024X768 and there are never any gaps.
In Windows 7 there are those gaps.
I should not have to ajust the monitor to be able to have 1024x768 fill the whole screen and IF I have to do that then booting back into Windows XP and 1024x768 will only make the display stretched.
Latest Nvidia drivers make no difference at all.
