Hi,
When I was using motherboard of Intel, it was everything okay. But I guess after I changed motherboard from Intel to Digi-light as well as changed my OS from xp to windows 7 ultimate, my 17" LG square monitor started showing blurry/shaky screen. I just updated Intel graphics driver for solution it worked little bit for me not completely.

Note:
-I want to keep 1024x768 resolution because there wasn't problem with this resolution.
-I don't want to change dpi settings to 125% with 1152x864, it increases font size too much.
-I just want to keep 1024x768 resolution as I used previously without any problem.

So, please give me solutions for this.

Thank you.

You really should be using the native resolution of your monitor.

What exact LG model is it ?

So, you just swapped out the motherboard or this is a whole new system sans monitor?

It helps if you accurately fill in the system specifics within your profile, some will pass on helping, without this info and you just make it more difficult for us techie types.

If you need info to fill in those details, assistance, install CPU-Z from cpuid.com it will provide a lot of it.

Your monitor wants to be at it's native (max) resolution and video components and OS vary on how they handle this.

My monitors are 1920 by 1080s and look ridiculous in any other mode then max under 7 Ultimate.

Windows 7 is pretty lousy with typical on-board video, mainly because unless noted, it's using your RAM sticks as video RAM which causes an enormous performance hit, and Windows 7 is already quite a bloated beast.

So what are your system specs?

Yes, referring to your personal computer specifications, otherwise known here as My System Specs (see it in bottom left corner of all messages?) Peek at others for a general idea of what to put in fields.

You have upgraded, and your original post made it sound as if it never was to your liking with the NEW motherboard.
Right? Hardware and the way it acts with different operating systems varies.

Using 1024x768 resolution will look weird because the native resolution of your monitor is 1280 x 1024. So you should be using that resolution just like AddRAM suggested.

But.... OP seems to be in love with 1024 by 768, I have old PC behind me testing 8 with a old CRT, I hate 1024 now after adjusting to way higher, but there were those days when 1024 was awesome, but then I liked Windows 95 too, at one time. :haha:

amithapase, did you change video cabling type at all and made sure the connectivity on both ends was very snug? [really doesn't matter after further contemplation]

I looked at your specs, and I suggest you go back to XP, that rig is too low for 7, it is about the exact same specs as a used laptop I have running Vista, and I would backtrack it to XP, but it's stuck in that black hole of support for drivers, NONE.... since it was made for Vista 32-bit .

Fairly good chance with XP installed you will get properly reunited with your 1024 mode as well.

For Windows 7, 4gigs of RAM is my minimum recommended REALLY, A 32-bit CPU or OS can not really use all 4 completely, but they don't really make RAM in that flexible of sizes, so 4 it is.

Your internal clock speed (1.80 Gigahertz in your case) IS too slow for 7 and would be a massive bottleneck if you actually dare to multitask in 7, and you probably noticed that already.
[M$ claims 1.0Ghz with 1gig of memory was all that is required for 7, good luck with that.]

Is someone in India selling off old system parts and claiming ready for 7? Seeing this quite a bit.

I just went looking for the 7 requirements, and I am shocked  :o  at what I found, apparently you qualify, but I stand by your system being very weak and would still tell ya to go back to XP.

Just notice guys the OP has switched to 7, with inferior hardware, should go back to XP.

NO.

I used 1024x768 for square monitor. and it was not blur.

but after changing mother board and OS it started looking blur with same resolution. That's the problem.

I never used 1280x768 because it is not suitable for square monitors. :sarc:

I went looking for the minimum 7 requirements, and apparently 7 only requires a 1 Gigahertz processor and 1 gig of RAM? [What you talkin bout Willis?]

Aero itself requires 128 meg video card with Direct-X 9.0 compatibility and I could see that causing video wierdness if it was not shut off by a Windows 7 install automatically if it wasn't capable? No idea though, I haven't had a non Direct-X 9 computer in 12 years?

YIKES to functioning with that little power!

On the plus side that tidbit of knowledge is now beat into my brain for upcoming exam, tyvm.
