12+ gig page file: What to do?

I run all my systems on a 2GB page file. Nothing ever happened - since nearly 4 years when I installed my first SSD.

Yeah, I had mine set like that, but as I've said, I see no need for a 12gig page file, when you've got 12gig of memory. In my opinion, unless you are doing some heavy memory intensive tasks, like mathematical calculations, or highly intensives video editing, I'm thinking such a large page file is just a waste of space.

Now I do understand the simplistic approach of letting Windows manage the page file, especially if you've got hard drive space, and don't want to worry about memory issues. I get that. But with 12+ gig of memory, and normal use, I fail to see having a 12+ gig page file. My opinion.

Anyway I'm going to run a few games (Skyrim for one since it is CPU and memory intensive) while having iTunes run in the background to see if any issues pop up. Just curious.

With 12GB of RAM, the page file will never be used. So why waste a lot of precious SSD space for it. All my desktop SSDs are 60GB. That is plenty for what I do, but a huge pagefile and also a hiberfile can eat it rapidly.
