Solved 128gb Format

I bought a 128gb flash drive to store mp3 songs. Which format type, NTFS or FAT32, would be best for the drive ?

Hello John,

I would use FAT32 since this is a USB flash drive. This way you won't have to worry about NTFS permissions and security settings getting applied to it while using it on different devices.

FAT32 will only support up to a 4GB single file size limit in case that may be an issue.

Might need a 3rd party app to format a FAT32 partition above 32GB.

I'd format that 128 gig usb flash drive using exFAT
I use exfat for XC based flash drives like the Philips Vivid USB 2.0 64Gb Flash Drive I recently purchased at Staples for a discounted price of $15 (example of this mentioned on the Amazon link)
