SSD 128GB is full. I have 4 gb free space left. Too many applications won't install on the sata II HDD and install on the SSD instead. Some will allow custom entries, but then install portions of the application on C:drive anyway. Logitech 920 webcam does it, which may be a bug.

Is there a way to control what gets installed on the SSD? I need to prevent this. I could use some pointers or links.

I think it's up to the makers of the applications and drivers to NOT place common files automatically, I see that a lot too, scrolling by and adding or upgrading usually dynamic link libraries (.dll files) to various C: directories.

If you have browser cache and temp files defaulting onto your C: I would use a cleaning tool like CCleaner from piriform.com to clean house.

If every added app or game though didn't share some .dll's, we would need significantly more free space on every system.

I have 2 SSD's in play now 1 for OS and one for apps, but both 128Gigs, so I shouldn't wind up with space issues, unless I never clean the C: one, but as soon as my browser gives me any issues, it's cleaned. [backup registry first, before letting any cleaning tool, do it's thing.]
