:( Everyday Windows tries to run 4 updates and they all fail, including this morning. So far, 13 updates have failed beginning on 4/27. They are; KB2515325, KB2522422, KB2492386 and KB982018. Anyone else having this problem? I am running Windows 7 x(64) Professional. I have no idea how to proceed, is there an MS contact available?

Hope someone can help.............Ralph

Do you have the SP1 update installed and Net framework updated and Visual C+ redistributable? Have you hidden any updates?

I am sorry but I am not technical and don't understand what you are asking. All I know is that updates have been running fine until April 27th. The last update was May 27 addressing maliscious malware. I haven't made any system changes nor added any new software within the last 4-6 months.

Hate to ask for help then not be able to answer your questions so I really apologize.............Ralph

Try to manually install these. Download button is easy to find towards top. These are Win7 64bit which is what you show in your specs.

Do one at a time. If prompted to Restart after installation do so.

I see in my own list they are all legit. Have you tried looking through the update history, to see if they may have already been installaed. Under those circumstances, Microsoft update misinterprets them as a fail.

Mike, I have run them manually 3 times but not one at a time. I will do that and let you know what happens. Probably be a couple hours away as I have some chores that must be done first.

Thanks again..............Ralph

I didn't know you had tried before.

You might want to try Option Two in this tutorial first. Then a manual install.
The .bat file is safe and on our forum- not an outside link.

On occasion the reset allows the updates to go ahead and install properly on their own.

:D Mike, Davehc, and DmHolt57, success. Mike your suggestion to run one at a time worked. I guess running them together was causing a problem when reconfiguring the system at bootup, novice thinking out loud here. Two of the updates required restarts and 2 didn't. It was weird because all the times the updates that I ran manually indicated the update was sucessfull but after rebooting it showed failed.

Mike, thank you very much for your help, you made my day.

Best Wishes.............Ralph
