I have a gorgeous Novatech multi-card reader device which W7 x64 doesn't even see, connected during setup, or only connected post installation; yet it works fine under W7 x86 and in Vista and XP - so there are a number of devices which W7 x64 simply can't work with...

Replaced it with one of these, which does work under W7 x64...

Problem solved

Downloaded Realtek 15 in 1 driver and installed it, then put an SD card in the reader and did a restart on Windows 7. Once Windows restarted the card showed in the disk drives.

Thanks Orpheous!

Good to hear it worked for you mate :)
Can you post a link to where you downloaded the Realtek driver file from? Just in case someone else may have the same trouble in future ;)
