1TB Dell external HD is blinking.

so i removed & inserted again, so it worked fine, but i don't know in future it may blinks or not?
what should i do? i searched google for this: it says My 1 TB going to fail or My 1 TB external hard disk is not getting enough power. which is causing the blinking light still mystery for me.

Greetings,
What is with people posting same question on so many websites?
Anyways...There is that short black usb plug.. it should provide a decent amount of power enough for it not to blink and you should plug it to the primary and fastest usb hub.

Hi,
If a external is blinking usually it's because a security scanner is scanning it ?
Could also be windows searching it being it's a large hdd :/ any bodies guess it could be power related or kicking the bucket ?

I would refer to your security settings and see if some clues are there

Most of all I would use the link above my signature to Fill in your system spec's page so we can see more information about your machine in all of your questions,
Add your security and any third party utilities you have installed
Cheers.
