I purchased Bins last Thursday for my Windows 7 Pro (x64) and downloaded the necessary file from the authors site. When I attempt to install it a dos box blinks briefly on the screen and then nothing further happens.
The laptop meets all the necessary requirements to run this program so I attempted to contact the author and just keep receiving automated responses which are very unhelpful.
I decided to run a compatibility check on the program and eventually windows reported that it is not compatible with my version of Windows which is nonsense because it states quite clearly on the 1upindustries FAQ web page thus
What is required to run Bins?
Bins works with any edition of Windows 7 or Windows 8, and runs on Microsoft's .NET 4.0 Client Profile.
An internet connection is required for updating checking and for a one-time activation of purchases.
Anybody have any ideas regarding a solution to this please

Oops found out why this wasn't working. I inadvertently took ownership of the exe file removing said ownership and the program installs perfectly.
