Ever wondered what "NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE" means? If you open the PSU and it is under warranty you just voided it. Frankly your comments are not wanted on checking the fuse. I for one would not like to find out that someone followed my advice and was hurt or worse. As far as we are concerned a power supply is a magic sealed box that gets replaced when it fails or is suspect. We will let people who work on isolated AC supplies with insulated floors and test equipment work on them. I know I did it for the best part of 30 years. There are people of all ages and abilities on here so remember that and if you can't give safe advice on the subject move on to one you can.

As i said its a common device u can find in lots of electrical devices.
to simplify the act, it changes the 110vAC or 220VAc into 5vDC, so it has capacitor and diods to change AC to DC and a transformer to reduce the voltage, the thing you should keep aware of is the capacitor which may charged from the last use. as it holds DC voltage if its heads shortcut that may cause harm. any high voltage capacitor are dangerous that doesnt mean you must not explore the device and loot it as a mysterious box. these notes are for alerting. i should correct myself, dont touch these carelessly guys, but always explore things with delicacy
