ahh but you are forgetting that i used the same download on another computer and it worked fine!
Yes, but if a little piece is wrong, it could succeed in some situations and fail in others. That's the nature of bad installation data.

tried to but e checksum never matched...and i dont think this was because of an error in the validity of the data but something to do with the original checksum.
A checksum that doesn't match official HASH is a very risky proposition indeed.
Even if it isn't a failed download (likely) then it can often mean add-ins you might not want.
Another risk of using torrents. Be sure to always rightclick scan the extracted files first thing with AV and Spybot.
