2 minutes to boot to desktop and minutes more fot hard drive activity

ever since I got the laptop it takes almost 2 minutes to boot to the desktop. It then continues to show hard drive read activity without blinking for 6+ minutes. What tests can I run to find out the cause?

this happened since the first boot times and even after factory resets.

Thank you. The computer has no problems with running all my adobe suite programs and multiple browser windows after the initial start up. Things will run the way I expect with the specs of the laptop, 16gb ram and i7 4700mq(?). Would memory lag at start up and pick up again?

Are there some biggies in the Quick Launch portion of the taskbar? Quick launching on the "later side" means loading up portions "up front," during startup.

The youtube video is after a factory reset and turning off every program from starting up at boot.

When I install programs and have all my files back up, I only have zonealarm and avast set to start at boot. My taskbar has about 5 things, explorer, chrome, firefox, vlc, inDesign, and notepad++.

The slow boot time exists even after a factory reset and turning everything off to boot at start up.

After the video and installing everything I don't notice a difference in the boot time being any slower. The following are pinned when I install everything I need.

1. My taskbar has explorer(folders), chrome, firefox, vlc, inDesign, and notepad++.
2. My start menu has the most recent apps open. It also has InDesign, Photoshop, illustrator, Excel, and vlc pinned to it.
