2 monitors, different resolutions, don't "fit" together-Anyway to fix?

Hiya.

I have a laptop with a 1366x768 res, and an external monitor of 1920x1080.

They are set up side-by-side, and the mouse moves from one to the other along the top, but not the bottom. Windows shows the resolutions scaled to pixels next to each other--which means a corner of the bigger window "catches" the mouse pointer.

I've been searching to no avail for a program or setting that will treat the shared edge as one smooth connection-so that I can move from the top pixel of one to another, and the same on the bottom. Some way to have Windows think, when transitioning, that instead of pixel 100 from top moves to pixel 100 from top, to instead think, "pointer 75% from top to 75% from top".

Any ideas?

I'm actually already using that, to have a unique wallpaper on each. I can't see that setting. Is it something I missed?

I've attached what either DesktopFusion or Windows Screen Resolution tool shows me--there is an obvious "corner" in the bottom of the right screen that "catches" the mouse.

Aaaaand I just ran into another issue. I figured if I can't fix it, I'll use it--put the taskbar on top of the vertical monitor and use the "corner" to hold the mouse for the start button--to have the bottoms line up. But if I move the bottoms to line up, the horizontal, primary desktop has all icons move to the height of the top of the vertical monitor-so three spaces above the top of the screen. And I can't use the three spaces on the bottom of the screen at all--no icon will "stick" there.

Fun stuff, yeah!
