2 of 3 browsers will not connect to the internet and BSOD problems

I just built a new system and it's been working great, until recently. My wireless wi-fi adapter quit working. After I replaced it with a new one, Firefox and IE 8 show that I'm not connected to the internet. Yahoo Messaging and my Chrome browser work fine. About the same time that these problems started, I get the Blue Screen of Death daily. I wish I could provide more information about the Blue Screen but I have not figured how to open the log file (any suggestions there?). I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on an AMD System. AMD A10 7700K processor and an MSI motherboard.

Re install windows, start fresh again

Firefox is garbage and you should at least be using IE 10

And isn`t your local time there 12:30 ? Why is it saying 11:30 ?

I bet re installing windows would cure all the problems, after all he just built the system

Make sure that you have completely deleted/uninstalled the old wireless driver and hardware.

You should create a backup HDD image using Windows Backup or something like Macrium Reflect first (or create a Macrium WinPE CD/USB stick).

Once you have made a backup, try completely uninstalling your new wireless driver and hardware and then reinstall it again.


Graphics drivers used to cause me all sorts of grief by not installing properly (e.g. breaking other software including Windows itself).
Now I don't update them anymore.

As AddRAM implies, you should update IE 8 to IE 10.

Enable Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) then run all Important and Optional Windows Updates to see what drivers Win7 may want that you don't have, including hopefully the wireless adapter.

What is the exact make and model of the adapter and what driver is installed, from where?
