2 problems with win7 it self

OS Win7 Home 32bit. 1st problem when I am typing (like this message). If I use the right or left keyboard arrows to move back along the line I just typed. Random letters pop up in the line and also the cursor will sometimes jump on its own to some other random spot in the letter or post I (acccm c, there is an example of the random letters. the word should be "am") typing and if I don't catch the jump I will end up with mumbo jumbo.

2nd problem. when I am scrolling down through a bunch of files or pictures by hitting the down button one at a time. The scroll bar suddenly runs down to the end like I was holding the down button, down when I am not. This 2 problems aren't big problems. They fall in the category of nuance problems.

Replace your keyboard, if it`s new return it to where you bought it.

If not, just replace with a good non cheap one.

It isn't that easy. I am typing on a laptop. Yes I know how to replace a laptop keyboard. Why do you think it is the keyboard? And yes I got it used about 3 years ago.

Replace your keyboard, if it`s new return it to where you bought it.

If not, just replace with a good non cheap one.

If this is the laptop in your specs, Changing the keyboard is not a simple matter, you could try cleaning the keyboard using compressed air carefully aimed between the keys, otherwise, as is all too often the case it may be a job for the professionals, either the manufacturers or a local technician

Why do I think it`s the keyboard ?

Your description of the problem.

Simple test, connect a 100% working keyboard to the laptop, see if the problems persists.

And it is that easy, a laptop keyboard is held in place by simple clips and friction or by a few screws, and 1 ribbon cable, takes less then 5 minutes to change one.

With the second issue it does seem keyboard related,
The first sounds more like the touchpad is too sensitive = palm touching it as you type.

I agree adding a wired keyboard may solve both issues or at least the best way to rule it out.
You might be able to borrow one from a friend or family member since it's a laptop you can go to them instead of them coming to you,

By the way I am using a wireless usb mouse. And how do I turn the touchpad sensitivity down?

Click The Start button and type in the search box,
mouse
Hit enter or go to Control panel/ Mouse
There should be a Device settings section shown on the far right in red
