2 small probs

hi, i have 2 small problems :
my download speed is 50-60 kb/s so it takes like 60 hours to download 7 gb files
prob 1:
i leave pc downloading overnight - once i woke up finding bitcomet (the program that was downloading) closed - another time firefox (program that was downloading downloading ) was also closed and said it cant open (it was opened before i slept)
so what causes that ??
if it was a power cut pc wouldn't even be open
prob 2:
physical memory (usage) sometimes rises to over 95% with no program open to use all that - a restart helps it out but i don't know the cause - i don't know if downloading is associated with it but it happened 3 times (i was downloading at that time) with DAP

Torrents are a simple way of obtaining trojans and virii...Bitcomet can greatly assist in this matter!! Anyway, back to your other problem and asking the obvious..have you got any anti-virus and antimalware fitted and if so what are your scans reporting? If you haven't suggest you try MSE for AV and Malwarebytes for antimalware.

nothing for antimalware will get one now and scan

Did nod show anything? Malwarebytes is a great program, I'm never without it.

If your download speeds are as pathetic as you state, I would seriously consider changing your ISP. However, I notice that you mention torrents - some ISPs detect these, and drastically throttle your connection/speeds if they detect that you are using these types of programs.

3.i only download tried (trustful) torrents
4.i'm in Egypt - no fiber optics - worst speed ever with all ISPs

Now that you mention Egypt, I wonder if that could explain your problems. I seem to recall that, during the recent troubles there, Internet access was severely curtailed, and in many cases, cut off. Were you affected by any of this, or are your speeds now the same as they were before the unrest?
