 OKAY I give up. Uninstalled, reinstalled, tried on various PCs, different platforms and different models to no avail. Three of my card readers refuse to see my SD/HC class cards when they all worked fine three months ago. The problem isn't the card because I use many and all are seen on my X99 platform in a newer card reader. Admittedly these are older card readers. (One is a ProSys brand if that tells you anything.) But to have all three suddenly cut out like that almost points to a Microsoft update issue. The other one is an old Sabrent (and I do mean old) the drivers "say" they load okay but only the USB 2.0 port seems to work on that one. It just seems odd that all three card readers (being different brands) would die on different PCs at roughly the same time. All three card readers are indeed old and I forget the brand name of the last one. I'm just wondering if it is even worth forking out money for replacements since they all have to be USB 2.0 type readers in this case scenario. Any suggestions? Anyone know of any newer, strictly USB 2.0 card readers that still function? The one on my X99 platform has USB 3.0 and it functions fine. 3.0 isn't an option on the other PCs. They're for my daughters and they are quite happy for now with 2.0.

- NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO LIST ALL HARD DRIVES HERE. Cuts me off at 5. Did you know that if you run a network you can scan your PC for viruses via other PCs using several different virus scanners? No virus scanner gets it all. This is narrows down the window for contracting a virus. By using multiple operating systems you can use different virus scanners with no risk of conflict.
