22nd and Pre-Orders

As many of you know I was graced with getting a copy of 7 Ultimate bought for me and I am sitting waiting to see if it shows up today. Currently at the doctors and worried that I won't be home to sign for it.

Amazon.com pre order set to be delivered the 22nd I think. I can't get in touch with my benefactor to get a tracking number.

Was wondering if everyone that wanted delivery for the 22nd is getting it on time.

I have a second question also, if the package ships with 2 discs one 32bit and the other 64bit could one give the media(the one not being used) away so the person just has to buy the license? I was asked this question and wasn't sure how to answer so I thought i would ask here for a quick answer.

2. no you cant because both discs use the same key.

Ah! But can't he install it using his key and when registering then provide the 2nd purchased key.
I know you could do this with Windows XP - it kept coming up with it's not a genuine copy until you registered with an unused key.

Mine was due for posting today - not received. So I downloaded it and at 2nd attempt to download it has worked.

Now to install!

I'm not aware of any way you can purchase just a key. Just go to BestBuy and get another box.

Well I didn't get it or any tracking info so I have no clue what happened and I only have a few days left on my re-arm.

I had two pre-orders for my workstation and notebook - one from Amazon and one from Newegg. The Amazon one is set to ship on the 26th. The Newegg one arrived today. I just entered the key in my current RTM install which was set to need a third rearm in three days and it said Thank You. No pain, no fuss.
