Hi. On my home built system, when booting up, if I don't have this generic Dell usb keyboard hooked up, I can not choose from multiple drives I have installed with the Logitech G510 keyboard( which I use to choose, I just have to have this other keyboard connected). Other than that, it behaves normally, fine. Is there something I can do in the way of getting a driver onto a usb thumb drive and then keep that thumb drive permanently attached (like inside the case)?
You guys were very helpful when I had problems with the MBR, and the UEFI of the 990 Asus Sabertooth Motherboard. Has worked fine since.

Thanks, Jeff

I just looked at that keyboard on Newegg and reading the reviews it seems to be a problematic product for many people. It might be as simple as that.

The first thing I would check in the manual for the keyboard is if there is a toggle that will shut off the advanced functions temporarily.

Modern UEFI BIOS are (will be) configurable and will allow users to load device drivers in the BIOS. I do not know about the BIOS on the 990 Sabertooth. Does that have the GUI? If so, look for any options for loading the keyboard driver.

I have that same keyboard and have never had any issues with it except from 1 motherboard. When I updated the bios, it acted exactly as yours. I had to reflash the bios back to the older one to resolve the problem. You may want to see if there is a newer bios for your board that will resolve the problem or maybe an older one. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions to the letter when flashing the bios. Done wrong it can bork the board.

Hey thanks you guys for response. It does have a gui. I am not real good with working with this stuff, but can you point me in the right direction, to obtaining the drivers. All I tried was to look at device manager, is that where I will get them? Or I have to type in the driver file name and do an explorer search?. I will check the gui for loading drivers. Checking the bios is a good idea too, however, what does "bork" the board mean? Dealing with Logitech was ridiculous. Any tech I got did not know what he was talking about. Furthermore, there were problems with me just getting an account that they could never resolve, or did not care to. So I think I don't have an account with them...After buying the keyboard and a gaming mouse, registering them- no account. thanks, jeff

To get the drivers, go to logitech site. That should be the download page for the G510 keyboard. Download it and install it. And borked means it can ruin your board if done wrong.
