2nd hard drive program files missing...

No one, here, can answer what happened. But, whether you did it manually or it was by default, once a week. You should have everything on "backup and restore". Set it to a date prior to your problem and eveything will be restored.

Does not work? Use system restore. Back up and restore will restore your personal data. System resore returns the OS to the restore point date.

I am not sure as to what you actually lost, but I have given you the answer for either situation.

i made another folder to re install my programs, when i get back home ill try the system restore... that totally slipped my mind It was not my main "program files" it was 1 for my second hard drive, for messengers and other programs.

I know this might be a stupid question, and please don't take offence, but is it possible that you may have "hidden" the folder by accident ?

Hidden unless i was clicking by mistake, but the only reason why i could say no with confidence is because, my yahoo messenger icon was gone, and when it tried to open it anyway, it was trying to browse to find the files.
