Hi, I have Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and I need the 2wire 802.11g Wireless USB adapter driver 64 bit version. I can't seem to find it. Apparently the cd I have won't work on installing the drivers on 64 bit version and I can't use the internet in my room unless I have the drivers for it. So does anyone know how I can fix this or anything? Everytime I point my computer to look at the cd it says it couldn't find the right drivers. It worked on Windows 7 32 bit and Windows XP and Vista. But it won't work on Windows 7 64 bit. Here is a picture of the device:

How do I install 2Wire 802.11g wireless adapter drivers for Windows 7? | Help | BT Business

That should take care of the problem for you... dl's are even included. You can also try exploring the cd and locating the driver manually.. it might be marked in a x64 folder.

I did this. When I clicked the folder that the drivers were in it just said that it couldn't find the software It was looking for. I explored my cd and it had no X64 folder. How would I go about installing the drivers manually?

Click the link and read it.. instructions are posted in it. Ill copy+paste though to save you the trip:

  1. Select Start.
  2. Select Control Panel.
  3. Select System.
  4. Determine which drivers are compatible with your adapter
  5. After downloading the driver file to your desktop, right-click and extract the file (.zip file) or double click it (.exe file) and browse to your desktop.
To install these drivers via the Device Manager.

  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Select Device Manager.
  4. Right-click the wireless adapter from the list ( it may be listed under other devices with a yellow "!" )
  5. Select Update Driver Software.
  6. Select Browse My Computer.
  7. Browse to the extracted folder on your desktop and select Next.

Note: The link shows the vista 64 bit drivers but a lot of times vista drivers will work on windows 7 with few or no problems. It specifically states windows 7 in the title so I would assume this should work.

Like I said. This does not work at all! It doesn't detect the drivers for the device for some reason. It works on this computer I am on right now but not mine. This pc is Vista 32Bit but my pc is Windows 7 64Bit.

My bad- I assumed when you mentioned "I looked through the folder and it didn't detect" you meant on the CD and not the download.

If the vista 64 bit driver didn't work I don't know what to tell you- it might just not be supported for windows 7. There are no driver downloads for windows 7 for this device that I can find so it seems like the most possible explanation. I don't know what the "legacy device" mentioned means but you can try it.

Sorry I can't be more help :(
