Solved 2x HDD with 2x active partition in same desktop

hello

I have to install 2x HDD SATA in same desktop, they are clones.

each of them has 2 partition, 1 active windows 7 (boot) and one logical for data

its a temporary situation, the goal is to drop the active partition on the second HDD

how will react the system with this conflict situation, which active partition will boot ?

Hard to tell, but we get lots of posts here with people having boot problems that end up being the 2 active partition situation. I would avoid it.

• Set the BIOS to boot from CDROM first. Then, with the PC off, put only the HDD in that you want to eliminate the OS on.
• Put a W7 installation DVD (or repair disk) in the optical drive and boot.
• Choose "Repair My Computer" > then Command Prompt
• Then type Diskpart and press ENTER

Once you have removed the active flag you can install both HDDs in the PC and delete the OS partition.

Even easier, use a Partition Wizard bootable CD and just delete the partition using that.
