I want to be able to run 3 monitors 2 standard and one big one all running with the same display.

Will I need to look at SLI?

Any one got a setup like this who could offer an insight please?

Thanks

As your current card has two connections, you need a second card... you figured that one out already I guess. Question is what you want to do with the 3 screens. What do you mean exactly by "running with the same display"?

However, in my experience, the nicest way is two identical cards on SLI. If your MOBO can fit that....

Overall 7,6 ...... now to speed up the SSD... ;)

Also use a Dell XPS M1710 on Vista 32b
Asus LT on Vista 32
3 older machines still doing fine on Linux/ubuntu but not used much anymore...
I want it so the 2 smaller displays are extended and the bigger one just a mirror. Recommend any cheap cards for the job?

As long as you have a spare slot then any cheap nvidia card will do.

I ran a GTX285 and a 9600GT to run my screens and then I upgraded to an ATI HD5850 and run 3 screens off of that one card.
