I currently have 2 monitors out of my Asus GTX650ti one is VGA and the other is HDMI I was wondering if I could get a third and use the DVI output

usually, the cards can use all the ports they have. For obvious reasons, the gaming performance will degrade if you add a monitor, as that is another bunch of work for it to do at the same time.
