30 second freezes

i have recently re installed win 7 complete format etc the usual

since i have reinstalled i have devoloped a 30 second freeze when trying to open files, also noticed it delaying and lagging abit on flash sites, all my power options are set to performance etc as i had before i formatted and wiped clear

another one i have noticed is on ebay trying to click the next page or clicking a number it wont let me open the page it just sits their doing nothing until i right click open in new tab, in which case then the page opens.....

any help ill be greatful

There are several ways to find what the problem is. The best is to go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search). Go to the windows log>application tab.

You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.

When you find them please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

have you run a system file check? that verfiies and repairs OS files. Would help everything but utrorrent and you should re-install it and java.

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
SFC /SCANNOW

sfc is clear nothing wrong ill reinstall java now

Can you do a restore to before the problem started?

it was doing it on the previous install which is why i formatted, checked all hdds even changed them changed graphics cards, done tests to the extent, my mate is suffering the problem also

just that i cant stand it i was wondering if anyone knew how to ?

is your mate on the same network?could it be a network thing?

no he lives about 15 mins away, not networking on my pc its just me alone

If he is suffering the same stuttering it has to be something you both have installed. does the problem happen in safe mode?

cant say as though ive tried it in safe mode, yeah he suffers from the stuttering to, ill try safe mode and see how i get on with it and let you know

completely reset internet explorer to basics, put all the hdd turn offs off and it seems to be running perfect now ....

dont even wanna upgrade to 9 i tried it and everything just went horribly wrong so i downgraded it lol
