32 & 64 bit (2 Systems)?

When you buy Windows 7 they will give you 2 disks. 32 & 64 bit. I posted today about my interactive CD's not working and I think it is because I'm running a 64 bit windows 7. So my question is when I get my 2 windows 7 DVD's, what I would like to do which I think should be ethical is put these 2 on different computers and have one on line and the other would be a stand alone. The stand alone would not be on the Internet but I could see what works on the 32 bit and what does not work on the 64 bit. I try very hard to keep with Microsoft's standard and maybe this should be a question I should ask them but I just wanted to know what you think?

Sorry, but while the retail Windows 7 package will come with both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions, you only get one product key number. You cannot use the same key number on more than one instance of Windows 7. If you want to use the key number in another Windows 7 installation, then you must format the other installation first. Otherwise you will not be able to activate Windows 7 with that key number. You would have to have two different product key numbers to do what you are wanting to do.

Hi Golden What I would suggest you do, to keep completely within the EULA is to download both versions of the RC 7100 from Microsoft, but be quick as there is not much time left

You can run these legitimately until march next year and this should give you time to acertain which version x86 or x64 suits your systems best

When you have access to the official release you can replace one system with the official release but retain the other for testing purposes

In fact if you are only using the system for cross testing compatibility then the reduced functionality of the RC will stay working until next August.

Not ideal, perhaps, but perfectly legal
