my netbook is running 32 bit win7 starter,
and i read that 64 bit OS needs to have 4G of RAM.

Does 64 bit Win. work on this netbook if RAM is upgraded to 4G from 1G?
CPU is Intel's ATOM, 1.67Ghz

Yeah it will work But is it worth the upgrade. Please do the cost benefit analysis. Also is it at all possible to upgrade? I Think Not. Let us know your thought.

Looks like the Mini 110 has a single memory slot, and the maximum DIMM size it'll take is 2GB:

Computer memory upgrades for HP - Compaq HP Mini 110 Netbook from Crucial.com

Your CPU supports X64, and 2GB of RAM is the recommended minimum for it, so you could do it. I think that there are Win7 X64 driver for your graphics, although HP doesn't offer them.

Putting X64 on a netbook seems a little crazy, but I believe that you could do it.

I would not change to 64 bit on an Atom Ant processor.

What are you expecting to gain?
