32 bit or 64 bit????

Hi all, downloaded and installed 64 bit W7 RC today and when i right clicked on computer/properties the system info stated that i am infact running 32 bit W7.How can i tell for sure?I D/L the 64 bit version and got my key and nowhere thru the installation process did it verify this.I use my system primarily for audio applications (ableton live) and am keen to test W7 as i had probs with VISTA.Does anybody know of a way to confirm conclusively that i am infact running the 64 bit Version?I know i downloaded the 64 bit but why does it say 32 when i view system properties? is this a possible bug?

Hi Marty, welcome to SF.

Two easy ways to tell - if you don't trust the Properties dialog. Look in your Windows folder for a SysWOW64 folder. Also, you can open your TaskManager (CTRL-SFT-ESC) and see if explorer.exe is running 32bit. If it is, it will say explorer.exe *32

Hello Marty...u could try this .... start menu/run and type "msinfo32"...system information should appear and in the right window look for System type. If it says x64-based PC then ur running the 64 bit.
