Yes, just follow these instructions for a clean install.
You will choose custom install>advanced options and format.
Then the install will continue and you will have Vista 32 bit.

Why would you want to take a step backwards (in platform)? Keep in mind, you won't be able to use all of your system memory, either.

You can install 32bit OS and delete vista after you all the data you need from it.
