Solved 32bit or 64bit

For this I would like reccomendations to weather I should use 32bit windows 7 or 64bit. I have 2GB of RAM and you can see my system specs for more info.

32 bit will support until 3 gb ram. if you want to 64 bit you need to fill in with more ram.

I'd like to know if my computer is capable of 64bit - will it be any better with it? I understand that 64bit takes more advantage of the ram and at the moment I use less than half of it!

This will let you know if you are able to run 64its OS GRC | SecurAble: Determine Processor Security Features |  
I would also recommend upgrading to at least 4GB of RAM, 2GB is the minimum for 64bit.

Wow! I've downloaded Upgrade Advisor before you told me to! It says everything is fine for 64bit but I'd need to do a custom install... Why would this be???

True, going from 32 to 64 bit requires a new install, it can't be upgraded but you should be able to use your current validation key.

You definitely cannot upgrade from a 32-bit to a 64-bit operating system, it has to be a clean install.

Unless you upgrade your RAM though, you won't see a lot of benefit.

I suspect you'll need to create an install DVD. You can download an .iso image. Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life It will still need to be activated with your key.

That is true, it does apperar that I can't upgrade my ram but only Crucial custom analysys says it can take 4GB. I wouldn't take the chance. Thanks for your opinions, I'll stick with 32bit... it's good for me
