My dear old pc is crawling to the end of its life and I have been offered one that also has Windows 7 Home Premium as my existing one does but is 64bit whereas mine is 32bit.
Does this make any difference please? Will all my programs work when I move/install them?
I have Tweaking.com Backup and FEBE for Firefox so I am hoping the move across will not be too bad but wanted to check that 32 to 64 isn't going to cause techy-dim me anything I won't be able to cope with.
All and any advice or help gratefully appreciated.

95% of things work ok but you will have to reinstall software. How much ram has the pc got there isn't a lot of point in 64 bit unless you have more than 4gig ram
Thanks - I assume software means programs. Sadly the new one only has 3gig whereas the one I use has 4gig.
I only use about a third of the memory capacity on this pc if that makes a difference?
