I have the Ultimate x86 disk from the launch last fall. I also have Professional x64 Upgrade iso I downloaded via Digital River (MS student deal). Burned the iso and installed Pro x64. Now that I have a x64 OS (besides HP x64 on laptop) I decided to create a disk that would allow me to install Ultimate x64. I used the ei.cfg removal too and verified that ei.cfg was no longer on the disk I created using this link:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/85813-windows-7-universal-installation-disc-create.html However, after burning the disk I looked and there was the file! So apparently for me the ei.cfg removal tool did not work. I think I should have saved the whole thing first?
Which free burner do folks recommend? I used ImgBurn. In another thread, it says Magic Burner had issues.
Thanks in advance!

I just retired my trusty Plextor IDE drive. Very quiet and reliable, just too slow. I will miss it.
