Graphic Card = GTX 260, Win. 7 Home Prem. , 64 bit

Lately when GeForce offers new drivers there are 3D drivers offered along with the Graphic and PhysX software - do I really need the 3D drivers ????

Right now I have GeForce driver ver. 335.23 installed with the 3D drivers, there is a newer ver. available 337.88 which will most likely offer the 3D drivers again, just wondering if I really need the 3D drivers or not - what are they actually doing for me if I am not a Gamer ?

Thanks

Joe

if you only use your gpu just for day to day windows things and internet use, youll get almost no gains from driver updates. Most driver updates fix issue and bugs, as well as improve compatibility within games, none of which youll need. in your case i think its an if it aint broke dont fix it kind of situation.

I went ahead and updated the Graphic Card, I do agree that "if it ain't broke don't fix it" however I can't help myself - I like to keep everything up to date - I did include the 3D drivers, my new monitor does allow for 3D viewing, I will most likely never use that feature but you never know :-)

Thanks for the reply
