I am having a problem connecting to a web site since installing Win 7 HP.

When I try to go to Old Time Radio Researchers Library, I get "403 Permission Denied You do not have permission for this request /index.html". I know of dozens of folks that have no problem connecting with this site.

Is there folder somewhere in Firefox that blocks certain sites? Is there a way to overcome this problem?

Using Windows firewall and MSE. Have the firewall set to allow Firefox. Also get same error when using IE. Using Firefox 3.6.13. Have all updates and patches.

Thanks for any info and help.

Mr

SledgeDG - Thanks for the quick reply. No, I am not using any proxy. I have no other connecting problems with FF either.

Sorry...the only other thing I could think of would be their 10Gig/month download limit
you think it could be related to that "feature"? because if you couldn't connect otherwise you would get a 404 Error not a 403

I don't think it has anything to do with the download limit since I have never downloaded anything from there - because I can not get to the site.

Thanks for the input. I'll keep looking and trying.

Try trimming the 'index.html' from the address before going there. It shouldn't really matter, but try it anyway.

Check your Hosts file for the address and if it's there, see where it's pointing.

I clicked the link and had no problem. I use Firefox.

Mr

mikedl - I have cleared cookies & history. No joy.

rap33043 - I tried trimming - no joy. In fact. I have tried a Google search and clicked on
3 pages of links and get the same 403 error.
Checked the Hosts file but can not find anything for that address.

I have the same results on another PC and a laptop that I have. Could it be something to do with my mac address of the router?

Thanks for the suggestions.
