I've had this card for last 6 months and have been using VGA RBG out to connect my PC to Sharp TV. Recently I've bought a new TV LG 47LK530 and now want to use HDMI connection. The problem is that when I connect PC to TV through HDMI TV detects the connection (HDMI becomes selectable) but shows that there is no signal from the PC.

What do I have to do to make my video card use HDMI for output?

my specs on that PC
Win7x86. clean install
latest NVIDIA drivers installed with default settings.
1920x1080 resolution

So far what I've tried.
VGA works fine.
disconnect all cables from TV apart from HDMI 1. Shut down TV/PC. Turn on PC. Turn on computer. I get black screen. No signal.

well this is resolved apparently the problem was the HDMI cable. I bought a new cable just to test and the problem was instantly fixed. So for those experiencing weired stuff connecting TV to PC through HDMI try another cable preferably the ones that are actually rated for full 1080p pass through. BTW I recommend VCOM cables got them for less than $10 and they are 1.4 rated and are 5m long

what spec is the HDMI cable? IIRC it needs to be 1.3a or newer to work.

Hi. thank you for reply.
Just generic HDMI cable. cheapest I could find iirc. I bought it when I got the 1st TV ~ 2 years ago.
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought hardware was rated for HDMI version compliance and cables support them all.

BTW small update somehow PC worked detected the cable after I've restarted for 9999th time and it didn't work I've plugged VGA in while PC was on and still connected through HDMI and it detected HDMI connection as 2nd display it worked until I've unplugged PC to connect my PS3 and now I am in the same boat and cant get it to recognize TV HDMI connection again.
