4850 wei

Hi Everyone,

I Just installed Build 7057 x64 and usually my GPU makes it to 7.9 in the WEI and now it's gone to 5.9 and gaming graphics to 6.0. There's something really wrong here.

I have 2 4850's

Can anyone help me out here.

are the cards still performing how they should (gaming)..??

did you run any other benches prior to the install of 7057..?? (3dmark, vantage, pcmark) these will be a better judge of your rigs performance.....


remember its still a BETA & ppl can get different results from the WEI with the same H/W...

Well I did give it a try in FEAR 2 and it worked great on all maxed settings, so I'm not really bothered now, just wanted a higher score on my WEI.

I just installed 7068 and my 4870 went from 7.9 to 5.9 too!!
Tried 3 sets of drivers with no avail..........wtf!!?

My crossfired 4850 gets the same 5.9 as a single 4850. MS are adjusting the WEI to take into account the better hardware currently available as well as future hardware. Still sucks to see the score slip though

Well thats bogus, my video goes from 7.9 to 5.9 and my ram goes from 5.9 to 7.4.....can't win with Windows 7 WEI

Yep, I've bounced from 5.9 to 6.0 and back to 5.9 again for the last couple of builds. I think 5.9 is probably the settler

I think ms are taking in to account hardware of the future and that's why today's hardware is coming down a notch or 2.

It's just a score though. It's not like getting a 7.9 in everything will make you rich and famous

I'd say it shows me your wallet is less fat than mine is, for shelling out the extra bucks for a few extra frames per sec
