You can usually get those pins straight again by using a small tool and a magnifying glass. Doesn't take much to mess them up.

If it was an old MB then I would but it is brand new and I am sure I did not damage it so back for a replacement it goes. I have self built 11 PC's now and never damaged one CPU slot in my life. The places which are damaged indicate that it came like that as they would need to be something dropped or pressed onto them in two different places and on a very small part. I know i did not drop the CPU on it (or anything else) so to me I want a good product I paid for.

Well as expected they will not replace the board basically saying I caused the damage. I would love for them to produce something that give evidence that it left the factory in perfect condition.

As mentioned earlier, straighten them yourself. Magnifying glass and a pair of fine tip tweezers.

My hands are not steady enough for that and I dont see how anyone could be sure they are all the same height again so the CPU may miss. It was working with the bent pins and while stable at low memory speeds it was highly unstable at high speeds and was reduced from Tripple Channel to Double Channel.

It is a brand new PC all round and I want to overclock the snot out of it so it needs to be perfect so I got another board. They are talking of send the other back to the factory and see what can be done.

However if anyone wants to buy it and try and straighten the pins themselves I will sell it for $150 (gotta get some of the $650 back)
