Hey all,
I'm interested in purchasing a basic internal Blu-ray player.

My (potentially stupid) question is : will the 5.1 audio be output through my Audigy 2 sound card? Or do you need a video card that outputs HDMI?

Any suggestions ?
I saw this one @ newegg
thanks.

you will need the full retail version of blu-ray software. If you can output 5.1 now, you should be fine but it will cost you. Software that comes with the player, only plays 2 channel.

Do you mean something like PowerDVD 9 Ultra? Or is there official software from Sony?

thanks!
