Hey everyone!

Been beating my head against a wall all day today trying to figure this out..

I have a Yamaha RX-V463 receiver
Definitive Technology PC-600 Speakers
and my motherboard has SPDIF out..

Everything is hooked up properly but I only have options for 2 channel under the sound settings. I downloaded AC3Filter and messed around with that as well... still it only plays all 5.1 speakers when I select "5 channel stereo" on my receiver. I want true surround for games.. All my games have an option for 5.1 yet nothing is coming out of the rear speakers or center when the receiver is set to 5.1

Any advice?

Thanks!

Have tried downloading realtek HD audio as well.... Still nothing..

Here is my goal:

Obviously music is going to be played in Stereo. But I have my blue rays ripped to my hard drive. I want to be able to watch them and play Medal of Honor (2010) in actual surround.... I mean come on... Medal of Honor even has a 5.1 surround setting. What am I missing here.

Thank's to all the views/help

With proper sound drivers installed, you should have HDMI,Speakers, and Digital Output as the playback devices. You should then select Digital Audio as your playback device.

I suggest you to download and install the driver from the motherboard manufacturer's site, after uninstalling the drivers you had already installed.
