Why Microsoft Windows always need 1 or 2 service packs to become reliable and stable?
I am having a few problems with Windows 7 x64 and I really want to switch back to my XP SP2 x64!
However, I am just showing you what I encounter:

1. I get a lot of problems with Network and Sharing Center, while connecting or disconnecting my ADSL connection.
Many times during disconnect, it encounters a problem and a circle is shown on the network icon and I cannot connect or disconnect anymore until I restart!

2. For example, I open a text file from drive E:, make changes and want to save! Well I cannot! So do I have to open Notepad from Start > Programs as administrator and open my file from drive E: and save it now like a jerk? Why Microsoft increases security of its products by limiting users?

3. Is there a way to disable all Media Player additions and always just have it in "Playing Now" mode? I never use Media Library and other stuff. But Meida Player in Windows 7 always start in Library!

4. Task Scheduling! Does not hide hidden tasks created by 3rd party applications!

4. This program stopped working! No I swear it was installed correctly! Although some executable programs are not setup installers at all, but I still get this message for many programs, even new ones full supporting 7, can I disable this message at all?

5. And finally, I never was able to use Windows Search to find a file! I always disable file indexing on my hard drives. And now search won't work in 7.

Thanks.

1.) Try disabling/re-enabling the network adapter within the control panel when you're disconnected. This generally works.

2.) Do you have ownership of drive E:? Was this a hard drive you had in another system or operating system such as Vista?

3.) I wish I could answer this but I haven't played with it enough to know. Sorry. I too would like it to come up in Now Playing rather than the library ;)

4.) I'm sorry I don't understand this question.

4b.) I think you're asking why you're getting that error with some programs? Depends. Which programs are throwing up that error?

5.) What doesn't work about it?

Are you running "homegroup" if so try changing to "workgroup" as it is usually more stabe and less prone to drops.

2. For example, I open a text file from drive E:, make changes and want to save! Well I cannot! So do I have to open Notepad from Start > Programs as administrator and open my file from drive E: and save it now like a jerk? Why Microsoft increases security of its products by limiting users?
Take ownership of the entire "E" drive. I suspect that drive was from a different OS

3. Is there a way to disable all Media Player additions and always just have it in "Playing Now" mode? I never use Media Library and other stuff. But Meida Player in Windows 7 always start in Library!

4. Task Scheduling! Does not hide hidden tasks created by 3rd party applications!
I dont understand the question sorry
4. This program stopped working! No I swear it was installed correctly! Although some executable programs are not setup installers at all, but I still get this message for many programs, even new ones full supporting 7, can I disable this message at all?
Sorry but could you be more specific

5. And finally, I never was able to use Windows Search to find a file! I always disable file indexing on my hard drives. And now search won't work in 7.
If you disable indexing of course search wont work. More info please
Thanks.

See above comments. We really could use more information and please be as specific as you can.

Thanks

Ken
