Anyone got a list of good 64 bit capable games? I want to try something that actually uses it.

I was a bit disappointed that Call of Duty: World at War doesn't have a x64 version. Thought it'd be new enough to have one. :(

That's actually an older list. lol

I didn't literally mean a list, just some good games that you guys know have x64 versions. I think I've seen that GTA4 is somewhere. I'll have to look into that.

If you Google '64 bit games' you get a pile of ancient articles from CNET from 2003-5 about how all of these games are coming to 64 bit! lol

after seeing this post i tracked down my copy of far cry because i remembered it ran in x64 but this is the first time i have had a x64 OS installed it and ran the x64 patches it loads ok menus everything else but as soon as i start playing i end up with a black and white screen the compass think is showing but nothing else i tried running it at a lower setting and its the same.

so i installed need for speed underground 2 instead and that works fine even if it is my 200th time of playing it.
also i finally got to play halo 2 bought it ages ago thinking i could play it on my mrs laptop(it has vista) but it was pretty ****ty trying to play it on there so its been on the shelf gathering dust till now.:D

Is there actually a newer list of 64 bit capable games? Or is everything still to obsolete?:p

Both UT2004 and UT3 utilise 64-bit - if fully patched - both go like hell..!!
Half-Life 2 is also very well optimized - ultra smooth play..

Egosoft's X3:TC seems to run much more smoothly in 64-bit..
..though it's not optimised as such - there's heavy CPU/RAM usage in that game, by design..

I have the same problem with Far cry. I changed some graphical options - lowering a few things and now I can actually see what is going on, just water is one big blue-gray thing ... You must put lightning to low ... but I still can't play such game, under win XP 32 bit everything is O.K.:zip:

You should try HL2 with Fake Factory's Cinematic mod.
Its like playing a whole new game.
It is very demanding as in 64 bit,3 or 4 gig ram,and a good vid card.
In return you get new music, updated graphics,3d models etc.
Couldnt play it before, but with W7-64 it runs very good :)
