Im hearing a lot of issues with this, I was looking to go into windows 7 so I wanted to post here first.

I will be needing a wireless connection (going up one story) with a good connection.

I need both a wireless router and a wireless adapter that will work on windows 7 64-bit.

I was looking to spend anywhere from 100-175 dollars total on both pieces combined. Any ideas or anything your all using to get a nice STRONG signal?

Hello Sylent, welcome to the Seven Forums.

My recommendation is based on my own very positive experience. The total price of this setup is a bit more you told you are willing to invest, about $ 230, but you get fine and reliable devices which give you a fast wide range wireless network.

My recommendation: Belkin N1 Vision router and Belkin Wireless N+ USB Adapter. In this response to another issue you can read more about N and N+.
