64 bit option during install

This is going to sound stupid but I've installed windows 7 a few times now and I seem to be overlooking the point where I choose between the 32 and 64 bit version. I've got build 7000 that I'm working with. Any insight?

Did you burn both iso images on one disk or see two made up? By labeling one for 32bit and a second for the 64bit 7 you know which one you are placing in the drive and booting from.

That I don't know I got the disk from my brother so I guess I'll have to find out which one he put on the disk. Is there a place to download the newer builds or did I miss that point?

32bit and 64bit are to separate version, with to separate DVD/ISO
The only way to choose between the 2 versions is with the choice of the DVD/ISO you use to make the install.

They closed downloading the iso's, but you can still find them on torrent sites, but thats about it.

You can get a new key from here still however.

The last day for any download was Feb. 12th allowing you to see any legit download in progress finish. The next available would be the RC1 for 7 if made publicly available.

The torrent downloads wouldn't see any support from MS there not being confirmed through their own identification for any available updates. The product keys are strictly for the 7000 builds and no others in case the 7022 was leaked at a torrent site.

If your brother burned the iso images to disk you can install 7 on more then one system. In fact the testers are advised to do that for various reasons like different hardware configurations when submitting feedback. Any bugs found can then be reported and worked on by the developers both MS and 3rd party.

Thats not quite right, the 7000 keys work in 7022, and so does windows update.

Which ecosystem program would that be I wonder? If you are not a regular tester but one who signed up only for 7? Frequent Questions | Ecosystem Services Research Program | Research and Development | US EPA OR...?

Again if you are not a regular tester you have limited availability and cannot simply download what isn't ocnsidered for public release.

me thinkest I'll be waiting to see if that holds up and sees a public release since that will be through the normal channels there. Plus I just ran across a 64bit updates for MS peripherals apparently just added for Vista 64bit updates as well as for the Windows 7 beta versions. If that becomes publicly available then you will have the choice of either 32bit or 64bit or both. That would be a step forward rather then simply trying to borrow? a copy of 7 32bit from a select group of testers in that sense to the original question. 7 will be past the beta stage from then on.

Im still confused... you can simply download the x64 or the x86 versions of build 7000 from connect........ all the poster wanted was build 7000 x64.

The only other option is 7022 x64 or x86 via torrent but they were never officially released to the public.

The deadline for seeing the 7000 build was 2/12 while the product keys for both 32bit and 64bit will remain posted at the former download page of each there. The availability of 7000 was simply between 1/9 and 1/12 there unless you find some questionable site(I'll put it that way) where someone still has a link for it posted.

From the looks of things now it seems that the 7048 supposedly RC1 will be limited to internal testers only and likely a few software developers and may not see a public release of that. As far as trying to download from connect you still end up at...

As i keep saying you can still download the files from microsoft connect (the invite code is even posted on this site), now, after the date you say!?

I know you can't get it from the original beta page anymore.

All it takes is a simple search and connect.microsoft.com is clearly not "some questionable site".

Oh my... as i keep saying, there is an invite code to join the ecosystem program, where you can download the files, look at the date and time in my screenshot...

The invite code is posted on this site and many others.

I am not an internal tester, i am not a paid subscriber, but that shot was me downloading homepremium as proof...
