7 64bit BSOD with Avast 5

new system seemed to be running fine loaded the new Avast 5 and had BSOD when Avast 5 went to update at bootup or just after update. I sent in 3 mini bumps....they said it was a hardware problem. Un-installed Avast 5 and went back to Avast 4.8 and have had no problems sence. One thing I have noticed after all this is windows defender is not starting at bootup. If I manually start it is says it is running fine ? Can someone read my mini dumps and what might be the problem with defender......Thanks Peter

Hi and welcome. Try rebooting 3 times after install. If no joy >

Uninstall Avast fully.

Go here and choose 64Bit Version.

or another AV you feel comfortable with. Seems some probs for some people.
