You get any power light?

Maybe the connector for the power switch fell off the MB?

I'd remove power, ground yourself on the power supply case and systematically reseat every stick of RAM, component card and cable then reapply power and see if this allows a POST, things do get jostled about in the post.

Good advice Fishn...

I had a giant heavy video card work it's way loose when moving my case once, crossing pins in the agp slot and shorting the power supply. Supply instantly shut off and nothing was harmed but same thing, no power on at all...

fishanbango: you got it spot on , as it was still under warranty I took it back yesterday and got it back today fixed . he said he just reseated all the components , spot on mate

So happy to hear it has been resolved. I have always done what I call a walk through on any PC I get through the mail, or if assisting someone with an issue. It is much less frustrating to simply do a reseat and cable check before applying power as it reesolves frustrating issues 99% of the time.

its amazing , I had my pci ex card in the second slot as I had an issue with the first slot ,that when I restarted it would post an vga error so I had it in second slot and it was ok. but having got it back from repair it was reseated in first slot . and guess what it would boot ok but on restart it would give me the error , so I have had to put it into second slot . maybe I will take it back to them as it could be mb failing

well just thought I would update everyone on my pc . well it has been back 2 more times now ,second time it just would not post at all ,so had a new mobo and a new psu. well that lasted about a week when I noticed my hard drive lights were on constantly and it slowed down the system. so I thought I would just insert my win 7 cd and do a repair . alas all I got was an I O error saying either my hard drive or a cd rom was failing . tried new ext cdrom ,same error . well back it went , and collected it yesterday and it had another new mobo . thats 2 its had . the repair place said he has only had 3 bad mobos of this version ,and Ive got 2 of them . now all up and running now as they formatted my system .
