7 can't see LG DVD drive

Hey there

Any idea why Windows 7 can't see my LG DVD drive? Its IDE, and I am on 7000 build. Works fine on my XP partition. Firmware update from site does not work, because software cant even see a DVD drive plugged in. Please help, thanks! Also I have HAD it working on this install already, which is weird.

If you look at Device Manager in Windows7 is your DVD drive there?

If you look in Devices and Printers, is it there?

Using Administrative Tools and Computer Management and then Disk Management, is the DVD drive there?

Under device manager, I see some IDE ATA crap, but they are all working fine, and I don't think that's it. Everything els I know what it is.

Devices and Printers, has nothing.

In disk management, I only see my HDD.

I got it working now, I didn't have chipset drivers installed for my mobo.

he i got the same problem ..while bios detects my 2 DVD drives...at windows i cant find them at Device Manager nor at Devices and Printers...any help?
