Hi All

Thought it was about time to upgrade from vista ultimate 64 to the 7 version of it.
What a mistake !!! All was well to start with but a few days in and I keep getting a cannot write to memory error when trying to open

Media Centre
My Movies
device manager
Imon control panel
windows update
and various other Apps

The error message reads

"The instruction at 0x0000001b8 referenced memory at 0x0000001b8 could not be written"

Most of the time it has a werfault.exe app in the top of the window.

I have tried a system restore, system repair etc but none work, the pc also hangs an awful lot.

I am regretting doing this upgrade, I thought Vista was bad but OMG this is terrible.

Any help would be great.

Thanks but had done so already and it doesn't mention it at all, which is very odd as the error comes up all the time.

Only thing I can do is a clean install !! If that does the same I will leave 7 !!! and go back to vista (never thought I'd say that)
